Karyn Gallant, MS, Certified Executive Coach

Karyn Gallant, founder and principal of Gallant Consulting Group is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) with a MS in Organizational Development, who brings 20 years of experience in counseling, experiential learning and career development, in addition to practical professional and individual growth strategies, to her clients. Karyn's clients consider her a business partner and trusted advisor, and have retained her to coach all levels of management including CEOs, Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents, Managing Directors, Line Managers and other high potential employees. She also works with entrepreneurs, as they build and grow their businesses, to meet the challenges of larger staffs, an increasing client base and expanded revenue goals.

Karyn is often called upon to coach individuals who have stepped into larger and more visible roles and those who face the challenge of leading their teams through organizational or marketplace change. She has taught executives how to be effective leaders and communicators and has coached scores of individuals who want to develop their businesses, maximize their career opportunities and increase their professional impact. Her clients include individuals and teams from a wide variety of corporate functions, including Publishing, Marketing, Sales, Finance, IT, Manufacturing, Business Development, Learning and Leadership, Non-profit, Human Resources, Alternative Media, Editorial, Operations and Sourcing, Research, Private Banking and Retail.

Experience

Karyn has been a coach to executives and senior management in corporate environments for more than 18 years. She began coaching leaders through her role as Director of Corporate Human Resources for Conde Nast Publications, where she worked with heads of sales, editorial and corporate divisions as they set strategies, developed staff and managed through an industry-wide evolution from print and paper to digital technology and e-commerce. She was constantly sought for her ability to understand and anticipate the impact of change, and for her talent in developing sound and enduring strategies to manage people and organizations in the face of its evolving effect on business. Part of her effectiveness as a coach has also come from her ongoing commitment to experiential and continuous learning and the theories and applications of social and emotional intelligence.

Karyn received post graduate training through the Zicklin Graduate School of Management and iCoach and founded Gallant Consulting Group in 2002.

In the early part of her career, Karyn led a learning and development division at Macy*s Northeast where she helped conceive, design and roll out a company-wide training strategy, aimed at enabling thousands of employees to learn, and adapt to new technology. Following that, she was asked to lead Macy*s internationally renowned Executive Assessment Center, the gateway to Macy*s coveted executive training program for aspiring leaders. Karyn headed Staff and Executive Training programs for 4 years, leading the creation and delivery of targeted, growth driven strategies for Macy*s management teams.
